Default RB26 clutch in a 350z?

I already know that a 350z clutch will fit in a RB motor but what about the other way around? Will a RB clutch fit in a 350z?

I read that a 300zx clutch won't fit because the pressure plate is thicker and won't allow the transmission to mount but the 350 clutch will fit right in. So is it the same for a RB?

Also what is the stock pressure plate clamp load on a RB26?

Reason why I'm asking is the RB aftermarket clutches are $100 bucks cheaper and none of them tell me the over all strenth of the RB clutch just how much more % of TQ over stock they will hold.

Any help would be sweet!

The reason why most Japanese aftermarket clutches don't publish specific HP ratings on their clutches is that those claims are mere estimates for marketing. Claims that are specific down to the percentage are commonly for marketing purposes only. They serve no real value in helping consumers how to choose the correct clutch for their applications.

How much horsepower and torque a clutch can reasonably withstand depends on many factors, including clutch operating temperatures, the torque curve, the weight of the vehicle and its driveline, traction, etc.

There are too many factors for a manufacturer to make precise claims in percentage. A clutch that can comfortably handle 600hp on a garage queen may not even handle 260hp in a drifting session.

What is your goal? What kind of clutch are you looking to purchase?

Yes, the RB clutch disc does fit on the 350Z. I cannot verify the pressure plate, though.

Yes you are correct the tq rating they give is just a guess, That's why I asked for the pressure plate clapping force instant of the HP rating(guess).

If I know the factory pressure plate clamp force then it will help me predict if the aftermarket clutch I choose will be strong enough. Example if the factory RB plate has 600lbs of force and the 350 factory has 800, then when the add for the RB aftermarket clutch says it has 80% more clamping force i have a good idea what it is compared to the 350z.

I'm putting it in my track only drift car and that's going to be putting down around 280whp, I'm looking at the comp clutch stage 4, I rather have a clutch that's way too strong, when u are riding the 5/8 wall at evergreen speedway doing 70mph if the clutch starts to give then the only place to go is into the wall!

Popular upgrade for the RB26 is the 350z clutch. I can only imagine it's a weaker clutch, but it will physically fit.
