JWT Valve Spring & Shim Kit with OEM Cams?
I’m rebuilding my engine after it bent a rod last month and I’m about to order all my parts, my question is can I (should I) run the JWT Valve Spring & Shim Kit with otherwise stock heads?
My power goals aren’t going to require aftermarket camshafts so I’ve opted to reuse the stock cams; but my engine has 100k on it so I’ve been thinking about upgrading the springs for a little added security… just wanted a second opinion before I make the order.
Thanks!

I would look into Crawford, Ti parts are lighter. I don't know what the JWT ones are.

If I upgraded the valve springs I’m pretty set on the JWT pieces, I’m not too worried about the weight, etc., just wanted to make sure the springs weren’t cam specific or anything…
I’m going to extend the revs to 7,000 RPM’s, nothing crazy, I just want to make sure it’ll hold together under boost especially considering the mileage of the original valve springs. Yeah I absolutely want to keep this build as simple as possible; I’m only shooting for 500whp so JWT or BC camshafts won’t be necessary. I’ll use that extra money to switch to E85 down the road…
