Default Clutch Problem

Hey everybody. I experienced something for the second time I had my car today and it feels horrible.

Right by my job this one road is the worst, people cutting you off, nobody signaling, and a million entrances and exits, poorly thought out plan IMO. Anyways, this stupid girl cut me off REALLY BAD, she almost took my front bumper off. So of course me having a bad temper I dump the clutch in first and go to shift to second (fairly hard) and the clutch got stuck and slowly released off the floor, basically burning my clutch as I went back on the gas quick. It smelled horrible and I felt so bad, and the next 5 minutes the clutch felt squishy and then finally went back to normal.

Same thing happened to me a couple months ago but never happened again until this. Any ideas on what this could be? The clutch clearly released very slowly, where I burned the clutch as it was still engaged and slowly disengaging.

Thanks in advance.

Footnotes: dump clutch in 1st, shift hard to 2nd, clutch slowly comes off the floor, burning clutch while clutch is releasing slowly, squishy for 5 minutes and horrible smell, back to normal.

i have had this same problem for the past two years. I have noticed that it only happens when the weather gets hot outside. I took mine to the shop after finding out online what the issue was, and it was a cheap easy fix, but that fix only lasted about a year, because not just last week it started doing it again on REALLY hot days. I want to say it has to do with something not being tightened properly. Ive read of multiple other people having the same issue. sorry for the lack of detailed information, I am going to try and look up exactly what my problem was and get back to you on it.
