Default Oil consumption question

My Z consumes oil and i was wondering other then having to spend more money on oil does this cause any other issues? does it affect the performance or reliability of the car?

Year and mileage of your car? How much oil is it burning? Have you made sure it's not leaking oil?

There was a thread recently about a stuck PCV valve causing an engine to burn oil. That's an easy and inexpensive fix.

If it's an '06 with the known oil consumption issue, engine replacement is about the only fix.

Its an 06 with 50k miles, it burns 70-80% of the oil within 3000 miles. Where is this valve and how can i check it to make sure its working correctly?

Excessive oil consumption reduces performance and reliability. Now search for the rest.
