Default Is this normal clutch behavior

I just bought a 2004 350Z. The car is in great condition and I am quite happy with it.

My only concern is with the clutch. It is very stiff and it engages very high. I have to almost completely release the pedal before it engages.

Is this normal?

Welcome and congratulations. Clutch performance is relative, but generally the 350Z peddle has lots of travel before engaging.

Search for a clutch repositioning.

As long as you have some free play at the top of the pedal travel and the clutch isn't slipping, you're OK.
