I'm about to buy a fully built trans for my z. Now I have two options that I can find SFR and GTM. The difference in price is 3000 for SFR and 4500 for the GTM. Does anyone have any input on why the drastic difference in price for what looks like the same thing? Also has anyone used the SFR trans on their build?

 

Assuming you have an auto, correct? Send a PM to rcdash, he has a fully built auto trans that he really drives hard or superchargedG, he has a an upgraded trans, but not a full build.

They should be able to point you in the right direction to get the mods you need for the power you have or expect to have in the future.

 

I chatted with him and that's how I came to this conclusion I was just wondering really if there was a big quality difference between the two trans to justify 1500 dollars

 

IMO things that go to GTM tend to take twice as long to complete as you are told. I just remembered that RudeG 2.0 got his trans built by SFR. You may want to ask him how it went.

 

Why don't you contact Tim@SFR and Sam@GTM and see for your self!! they both are great to deal with.
