Hello......There was a swap done in my 03 with 009 Transmission. I was removing my thermostat from the pathfinder rear coolant mod, and noticed that there was a hose coming up from the transmission that transitions into a metal pipe. The problem is that there is nothing connected to it. If anything, what is suppose to be attached there? It has been like that for about a year! Please share your thoughts......Thanks.

It looks like a breather hose. So I would guess your fine

 

its a breather hose, thats perfectly normal
