Default HKS Engine Cover looking for interests.

So I finally picked up a HKS Supercharger kit and really wanted the HKS engine cover that unfortunately is no longer made. I wish to keep the stock intake mani and just add a spacer to keep as much as the stock appearance as possible. My build is only for about 350-375whp so the Cosworth Intake mani would be overkill, its bad enough I'm using some leftover parts from a Greddy Tuner kit so if I could minimize the extra amount... I will. I'd give a ******** to science and I've tried every avenue to get this done but nothing.

NRG makes a 2-piece cover but it's only for a HR motor and not the DE.

I contacted a vendor on here and they don't do one off parts so I need 10 people that have an interest for this item to even begin to replicate the part. Here's the pic:

I'm working to find out how much something like this would cost and I'm looking for a Matte CF finish.

Been looking for an engine cover that had more to it than the stock one. If we do 10 sets for 10 ppl...what would the cost be? We did something similar with custom fender emblems about 4-5 years ago.

Not sure but I'm hoping for the 250-300.00 area, before anyone jumps in my *** saying that's too much... consider the HKS piece was $1500.00. If I can get at least 8 other people, I'll buy a second one. I just think this is a good opportunity to replicate something that we will NEVER have the chance to have again.

Well let's see if 8 other people get on this to actually make a bid to the vendor.

Why not take one from a G35 and trim it down?

I'd have to cut it in half and make a space to fit under the strut tower brace. I'd rather have a completed piece than a bastardized one that I need to CF wrap. If all else fails I'll do try making it work with a G35 cover.

If you are willing to drop $$$ for the HKS cover then you should just get the cosworth plenum.

You've seen my build sheet but I really don't think it's worth the Cosworth. Besides I immediately regretted my decision after I paid for it, so I think that was a "sign".

Bump people!!!

Alright people... I was able to secure a old G35 Mastergrade CF engine cover and now I'm working with Strafe to see if we can get this done. I was originally working with Cianci but I've since then sent them a PM with no response. I can't stand vendors that don't respond, even if it's a "no" a response is a response. I'm seeing if we could mod it to work with the Z. Pics of the unit:

It looks like a good match and I think it'll need to be modded to work around the Z's strut tower brace. C'mon people... HELP ME OUT!!!

Strafe
good to see a company willing to get something done rather than say "we can make that" and then cry out that they need 10 people to fork out full payment for something that there is no finished product to see quality of work on what they are "thinking" to produce and probably end up just flaking out in the end.

Anyway, definate interest on getting one if you decide to produce these Strafe.

I'll take one for sure! If it's the HKS one even better, but the modded G35 one would do me fine aswell!
I'm in.
