Default slipping clutch?

Occasionally, when i FULLY throttle the car starting at 0 mph, the car would not accelerate after putting 2nd gear. I rarely go full full out, hitting redline at every gear.
Tonight, i went full out from 0 mph. The rear tires were sliding alot at first gear. i proceeded to let it keep sliding my 275 tires. Then i shifted to 2nd, keeping high RPM. At one point, the car wouldn't accelerate. I could hear the engine revving (from me keep squeezing down the accel pedal), but the car won't go any faster and the RPM won't go up either. This was really embarrassing lol After this, i felt that it got more easier to put down the clutch pedal.
Then i smell horrible burnt clutch (?), something like grilled metal. I parked after a few more minutes drive. The smell was really bad near the hood.
i never felt the clutch slipping while DDing though. i have FRESH clutch fluid and SS clutch line. 05 with 45000 miles
is it the clutch?

f..something is definitely wrong. I went for a very easy drive today, and guess what? i could smell the burning clutch throughout the whole drive. When i got home and opened the hood, the smell was awful. Not as awful as last night though.
This is what all other slipping clutch owners experienced?

i only went to a drifting event once where i used clutch kick incorrectly. On my next one, i just floored to start sliding.

The car just pushed forward. Nothing felt unusual.

so when you put the car in 6th and started accelerating (flooring it) at speeds around 50 to 60... did the rpms just rise and the car did not go anywhere or... did the motor bogg down and rpm's reaised slowly?

Dude if it smells like its burning then it will most likely need to be replaced soon.

my only thought it you might of slipped it really bad that one time, BUT it is on its way out...? just dont get stuck somewhere you dont want to be.

or it can be something else if you are saying the clutch is fine

i do kind of think that it's the clutch slipping. Do you smell the clutch burning after normal driving, though? i was still able to smell it today after a drive..
I thought it's only suppose to have clutch slipping, not burning clutch

If its slipping, its burning. Slip and burn go hand and hand.

not necisarrily true.. Mine was going bad. and mine was in bad condition. i would go and if i was in 2nd going like 20 or so and i pushed on it a little the rpms would just increase and the car would not go anywhere.

However when i did not push on it at all. shifted smoothly and no fawkin around..it would not smell at all.
