Default 3000 miles or 3 months?

Ok, so this has probably been answered, but this is the first time I'm dealing with it.

I've always driven 3000 prior to 3 months so I just get my oil changed at 3000 miles, but now with the Z, I only get about 2,000 miles in 3 months, so do I change the oil or drive it around for another month or possibly two?

What's better for the car?

30,000 miles in 6 months and the car runs fine. Only thing affected is my wallet (oil change wise).

Mobil 1: I change every 10K miles or each year, whichever comes 1st.

I go by mileage, 3,000 miles +/- a few hundred - - whether it takes 3 months or 3 weeks.

I personally just go by mileage - - of course, without getting crazy and waiting a year or something like that - - - my opinions only

I change my oil every 3k miles regardless of the time interval.

30k miles in 6 mos is like 4 hours a day ave behind the wheel! Curious, how many sets of tires so far ;-)

I think it was a typo error. There is a guy here, JIm, who lives in AZ, I believe, he has over 42,000 miles on his Z. He might have more, that was a few months ago.

I put about 3K miles a year on my Z, so I change it once a year.
