I'm sure this has probably been talked about on the forum already but couldn't really find what i needed through the search function. Anyways, i just got a 06 rev up with 60k miles and a week after i got it every time i turn the ignition off there is a rattle when the engine turns off. But the rattle(chatter) is gone when i turn the car off with the clutch engaged. Called the local dealership they said it might be a worn throw-out bearing. I have no clue. Anything helps Thanks

 

Mine 06 has always done this.

 

It's normal clutch chatter. If it made the sound with the clutch pedal depressed, then you would have an issue.

 

Throw out bearing....does the same thing when running as well, right?...If you are at a stop light put the car in neutral and let the clutch out, you will hear a spinning sound, push the clutch in and it goes away. Mine has been doing this for 75K miles no issues other than the sound

 

thanks for the imput folks. my buddy is a nissan tech he said that it is common with the car and isnt a problem.
