I wanna say the offsets for around +10 to +15. The guy I bought them from took the damn stickers off the barrels that had all the stats. I'll be rolling the fenders for sure when I get the right suspension set-up
so was this the first time your shop did this to a z?
was it pretty straight forward with the sikky kit?
does everything else in the z work just like stock?
Hmm, I never got questioned on my FPR it's in the same spot. And the tracks i go to are pretty damn picky. I've seen some people mount them off to the side which I would consider far more dangerous being closer to the manifolds should a leak develop.
I guess it depends on the governing association. The idea is that in the case of a flexplate, flywheel, clutch or torque converter explosion, they don't want your fuel system near the flying parts. I believe the NHRA is 6" fore or aft the bellhousing hence why most people mount them on the side. I had mine in the same spot as yours last year and decided to relocate it.
lol I gotta look good on the streets man, I'll go to the track with slicks and much lighter rims. Otherwise, it'd be pointless
I have my old drag tires mounted on steelies (a pair of ET Streets 15x10.5 that still have plenty of tread left), if you're interested in a cheap set.

Why go to a 1/8 mile? That's pointless and a waste of time. Go to either TX Motorplex at Ennis or Dallas Raceway at Crandall. I recommend the latter, as it's a faster track and usually has better prep.
Also, if this is going to be a drag car, then you don't really need bigger brakes, especially not in the rear, so I'd only replace the fronts if anything.

Thanks for the advice on the brakes. That'll help alot. PMing you for more info on you're tires.
You really should've come out to the drag strips with me when I still lived there. I drag raced all alone for like 5 years in the Z! PM'd you back.
BTW, about the brakes, don't replace them if you don't need to. All you're doing is slowing yourself down in a straight line and you have plenty of space to do that after the 1320'.
Not really but they're definitely not for drag though. Most multi piece wheels are heavier then a mono wheel. I can pick up my TE's with one hand while my LM's and VSXX's require a little more effort.
Truth. My 3 piece advans requires a double hand ****** and clean. While my friend's TE was like a dumbell curl.
^ He's going to have separate wheels for drag strip use, like most drag racers. Plus, width and offset doesn't matter nearly as much as the compound of the tires, proper suspension, and alignment.
