Could you continue to post pics and add prices of this process?

So we can get a ball park estimate of how much something like this cost.

19 x 9.5f and 19 x 11r

I wanna say the offsets for around +10 to +15. The guy I bought them from took the damn stickers off the barrels that had all the stats. I'll be rolling the fenders for sure when I get the right suspension set-up

Battery inside the car = bad idea. Just a FYI. I can't find any info on that battery but if's a lead acid battery then you need to remove it.

so was this the first time your shop did this to a z?
was it pretty straight forward with the sikky kit?
does everything else in the z work just like stock?

I guess it depends on the governing association. The idea is that in the case of a flexplate, flywheel, clutch or torque converter explosion, they don't want your fuel system near the flying parts. I believe the NHRA is 6" fore or aft the bellhousing hence why most people mount them on the side. I had mine in the same spot as yours last year and decided to relocate it.

I have my old drag tires mounted on steelies (a pair of ET Streets 15x10.5 that still have plenty of tread left), if you're interested in a cheap set.

Also, if this is going to be a drag car, then you don't really need bigger brakes, especially not in the rear, so I'd only replace the fronts if anything.

where have you been hiding lol? btw did you read up on the ls sections and do the drill mod for your sikky lines??


ps i iz jealous yours runs and mine still doesnt lol

Thanks for the advice on the brakes. That'll help alot. PMing you for more info on you're tires.

haha, don't worry my shop did the install, and they had a lot to work through. I'm not a DIY'er on that big of a project.

You really should've come out to the drag strips with me when I still lived there. I drag raced all alone for like 5 years in the Z! PM'd you back.

BTW, about the brakes, don't replace them if you don't need to. All you're doing is slowing yourself down in a straight line and you have plenty of space to do that after the 1320'.

A "drag car" with "hellaflush" offsets and a stretch?

Scrap those wheels/tires for something proper/wide.

^ He's going to have separate wheels for drag strip use, like most drag racers. Plus, width and offset doesn't matter nearly as much as the compound of the tires, proper suspension, and alignment.
