Mods to Add More Torque?
Hey everyone,
Got a quick question.
How to get more torque??
Does torque increase in relation to horsepower? Or are there specific modifications that focus more on torque.
What I mean by torque is that feeling of being pushed back into the seat you get when you push down hard on the pedal, maybe I have the terminology all wrong?
Anyway could I make that sensation come about in lower RPMs? (Better Off-the-Line power?)
Let me know!

Not to mention that "torque wins races", you want to win, don't you?

You can start at 4 psi of boost, and work your way up to 8-10psi on a stock block. Many of my customers are pushing 10+psi on a stock block, and some are going with built motors for more power.

jk..
hers a google serach of off site answers to all of your questions.
enjoy your read.
Besides if you have a DE engine, torque is what breaks things when in FI, ie bearings and rods...
HRs got nicer guts.

Torque is a force applied at the end of a lever, in the case of a car, it's the twisting of the wheels. Power is the rate at which that torque is applied. If you can consistently apply that torque fast, that's power. Better brush up on your 12th grade physics.
And, Mr. Boosted Performance is right. You can put thousands into naturally aspirated mod's and get some extremely minor gains, only to have the Nissan computer chip away at it as it "learns" its way around it; or, get an FI kit and have so much power you can barely manage it.

The above is the only answer that fits exactly what you're looking for (low end grunt and more torque) and does so without cracking a joke. Turbos and swaps will cost several times more for just the minimum and bolt-ons don't do much on DEs.
