Top 10 NA Z's
#42
I actually have no desire one way or another to be put on the list. I was just curious as to how my G compared to all the Z's out there. I had originally put a deposit down on a Z.....but fell in love with the G. (the fact that I have two little kids that would rather have a back seat vice a trunk area to sit in....well it made more sense for the G). From the data I've read....the G and Z are very close and sometimes the results are suprising when doing dynos. Also, which dyno will show "greater" numbers....a dynojet or a Mustang dyno? Mine was performed on a Mustang. Gya later...Rich

Well, a Mustang has shown higher numbers than dynojet, but some people think that mustangs usually show lower on avg. personally, i have no idea. I don't have any dyno experience. anyways, i think once you start modding the cars, the G and Z will show similar numbers as they are the same motor and the mods will replace the parts that restrict the G's power.

Here are my numbers from todays dynos. We first ran just the Crawford Package. Then tried the latest TS Flash (still needs work) and then we added the JWT pop charger. Here are the charts.
Here is baseline, plenum, plenum+headers+cats.

Here is the above Crawford Package with other mods (JWT pop charger and Technosquare ECU)

So pencil me in for the 259.9 run on the list!!!!

I'm going in for my first dyno on tuesday at AAM. I think they use a dynojet. Any theories on the results based on my installed mods? And what about the addition of Nismo headers and cams?

Add Nismo headers and cams - Maybe another 15. Might want to wait on the NISMO headers, if you plan on doing the NISMO cams - we've already discovered NISMO didn't do any research about mating their header combo to their cams. VERY obvious that their headers are UGLY corkers once cams are dropped in.

Glad to see some intelligence!
WAY too many variables to compare. Add altitude, temp, humidity, calibration, gear tested in, 1st run or 3rd, lunar position, day of the week.......etc.

After reading all the blown engines from FI, NA seems to be a heII of a lot safer to me. It's probably the route I'm goign to go.
I'm really curious to see some N/A 1/4 mile times. You guys in the top 10 should take it to the strip....and post!
