how do i know if i have the v2?

Default how do i know if i have the v2?

bought the car with an engine replacement from nissan lemon law, so how do i know if its the v2? wheres the block # stamp?

Look for the part number on the engine for casting but regardless your car still burns oil and you will need to keep an eye on it. All rev-up motors burn oil and even if you are on your 3rd engine. The issue is piston rings and possible valve guide seals.

One method to get some indication of the oil consumption state is to check the inside of the exhaust tips for thick carbon or oil black substances. It isn't a guaranteed check, but if there IS buildup, then the chances are much higher.

I didn't think they can resell a Lemon Law car.

I know that this thread is dead, but I don't want anyone to think this is correct.

My '03 was a lemon law buyback. It said so right on the title. All it meant to me was that I got it for $5k less and had zero issues with it. After Nissan completed the buyback, all of the issues (the common little '03 issues) were corrected with updated '05 parts.

thanks all i totally forgot sbout this thread. I did find out it was a long block replacement in 1/07. Also I do get tailpipe build up but its always minimal. Always. But thank you guys
