Default smelling clutch? or somthing else?

Ok so I've had my 350zr since august its an 05 and i been driving stick for about 5 years now, so please before you accuse me of riding the clutch... don't.
My clutch feels fine grabs right about in the middle, just like it did the day i bought the car. It does not feel like it is slipping at all. I've had previous manual cars and i know what a slipping clutch feels like. I been smelling a burning smell similar to clutch after almost every drive. I do know that my front pads are worn and will need and will be replaced soon , some have told me i could just be smelling the brakes. The only thing that worries me is that its mainly coming from the driver's side. Any thoughts? could it just be the pads are low? thanks

Same here, I smelled something funny from the front and my brakes were really worn. I have an 05 as well, and the pads were completely original. After brake pads, no more smell. If that's not the problem, you should replace brake pads anyways.

Brake pads may produce an odor if they are thin. There is insufficient pad to distribute heat.
