Gave it a half-a$$ed search (on my phone) but I didn't see anything.
What is the core value of a VQ35DE? Let's say, one that is just miled out or has spun a bearing, not one with a hole in the block from a blown rod our something more severe. Will it be a different price if I don't buy something from the shop that's taking it in?
Just wondering how to evaluate options for engine replacement based on pulling the engine out and getting ______dollars for it and taking the money to a scrap yard to help buy a complete replacement (drop in) engine.

$400 at best. these motors are dime a dozen, and you can pick up running higher mileage vq's for 600+

I have long block sitting at a shop in RedDeer, if you are looking for one to build but I don't really want to sell it until my tune is done and the built engine is still in one piece. I would have to look but I think the tune is in June. Not sure what your time frame is?
