Default Problem...Maybe?

i stopped at my mom's last night, and left the car runnin. when i came back out, i heard a hissin comin from the back around the diff. i played around with revs to see if it was the exhaust, but revs didn't matter. it was intermittent; it would hiss for a couple seconds, break for a few, then come back. almost sounded like a flat tire, but not a constant sound. kindof pissed me off. any ideas?

It's your fuel pump. That's normal.

I concur.......it is the fuel pump. That noise had me puzzled for a while as well.
