Default Are oil coolers worth it?

Is it worth it for me to install a oil cooler on my car? I will be tracking it and I do drive it quite harshly. What are the advantages and disadvantages? Who makes the best one too??? My car is N/A also.

Only if you track your car will it matter.

without a doubt yes.

dont even think twice about it.

please search for "Oil Cooler" on the forum and you will see a plethora of information on different setups. typically the rule of thumb is the largest surface area core with ducting to make it efficient.

DE's have the oil to water cooler/warmer stock... does its job pretty well for awhile.

I road race and never have problems. My temps never go above 250-255 and that's on a hot day. On a cooler day it's at like 230-240 after a session at the track.

this car has a problem w oil starvation period HR or not,.

.. if you drive you car hard or track at all, then why wouldnt you?

Is it "worth it"??? no idea what would quantify that for you
Are you actually just asking are they a "waste"?
Absolutley not.

DOnt buy ebay POS stuff, buy a mishimoto at least. Oil pan spacer and a temp guage. For sure.
Why not?

Can't hurt. Unless installed incorrectly, you lose all your oil , then instantly blow ur motor. Haha jk . If you track a lot just get one for insurance purposes

+1. If your car stays just bolt ons i wouldnt worry to much unless u track it. Anything past that i would recommend since the engine will run hotter one a built high hp block.

Stillen is what I have. Idk what's "best" or whatever. All prob serves its purpose. Soho has a sale on Stillen kits if u want to chk them out. Good prices. Haven't heard much about z1 but most of their items have worked well for me.

Stillen is the only one that fit with all my Supercharger plumbing but didn't use the bracket supplied with the kit.
