Default Thinking about cams....

was wondering if there was a good street cam that I could run WITHOUT building the motor any further... just a drop in cam with a decent lift that would show some positive results...

tanks in advance for the info...

Stock block vortech? I wouldn't waste time or money on cams. It's not a quick job on the vq.

+1

worst money to hp ratio on our cars is cams. These aren't domestics that cams can be swapped in a couple of hours. The whole front of the engine has to be pulled. IIRC when my friend looked it up at the dealership it was 9 hours of flat rate work. I've torn down my heads to replace the gasket with the engine in the car and it's definitely not an easy or fast job to get the cams out. I would have never put cams in my car if the engine wasn't already torn down. I think most shops charged around 1200$ for a cam swap.

still ddnt dyno it. waiting to re-tune it with vince of R/T. BC stage 2 doesnt need springs and retainers. I have 1 map set at 7300 which i rarely use, the other set at 7000 which i use daily.
