Anyone try swapping a Z32 Diff in their Z33?
"Z32 Companion flange is smaller"
-does this mean the z33 companion flange cant be swapped over? (Depending where its smaller would indicate if it could fit)
"Rear cover is smaller"
-meaning the outter bolt pattern is different? Or the stud location is different?

by smaller companion flange I mean it's physical dimension is smaller. The spline on the z33 diff is bigger, the z32 inner diameter is smaller on the flange, won't bolt on. The back plate looks roughly the same but it's smaller as in its scaled down. not as wide and not as tall. I can snap some pics tomorrow after work.
I don't mind answering questions.
I'm also modifying turbo components from the z32 and r35 platforms to build a cheap and decent twin setup. Not many folks can throw down 7k, me included

Are you documenting these on hybridZ?
The z33 cover will not fit in the z32 r200. The z33 diff is wider than all other r200s.
That also means that the VLSD unit itself from the z32 n/a will not fit into the z33 r200.
The z32 n/a uses 29 spline axle and axle stubs. Same as the z33.
As mentioned before, because the axle spline count is the same, you can swap over the z32 n/a 5 bolt birfield flange onto the z33 axles.
This swap is totally useless and pointless.
If you are wanting a VLSD, search for a used VLSD from a 350z/g35.
If you are wanting the 4.11 gearing, go aftermarket for the proper gears for a 350z.
I personally have a built Nismo GT Pro 1.5 way 350z r200 in my z31 300zx. I have done all research. My axle splines are 31 on the output axle stub and 31 on the axle it self. This is using the z32tt/q45 axle combo. Strongest setup you can get.
