Default IPP Short Block or Long Block? Need opinions...

Here's the deal... I recently bent a rod and I'm atleast going to need a new short block. I have cosworth heads already so I'm debating on just buying a short block and slapping my cosworths on it or buying a fully assembled long block instead since I could have a warranty that way. I guess I could always sell my cosworth heads. What would you guys do?

warranties are never that hot.. i bought my block from the shop assembling the car for the reason that i dont trust the finger pointing war that will inevitably happen over ANY warranty concern with person As block/engine and shop Bs labor etc etc.. ..
that being said, if you already have cosworth heads, use them and save the dough to help pay if theres ever a problem down the road.
No ones ever done me right w an engine warranty.. let alone aftermarket..

If you are skilled at pulling heads you might as well just use the heads you have.

The other option would be to sell the heads and use that money for the new long block and take the loss in power.

Basically it boils down to how much work do you want to do and if you want the extra money from selling the aftermarket heads.

I went with the IPP longblock for my build. Highly recommend IPP but as mention VQ+FI doesn't equal warranty. LOL I say save the heads and go with a shortblock.
