I want to put them on my car...

Basicly they are going to increase the compression rate of the motor (NOT FOR FI CARS! We have low compression pistons for that...) So what ever rate these increase, it will give more power.. As I get more info from NISMO I will post it. We will be stocking some of these regularly... I want to throw a pair onto my car and dyno them simply because I only have high flow cats and exhaust. We would see what they do on my car..

Does anyone know if the new heads come with cams and what the specs are on the cams? Also, does it increase the stock compression ratio?

to raise compression, they would have to be getting smaller...

i guess they could have justified either larger or smaller...

who knows?

They are smaller...

We will photo graph and measure as best as possible the OE head and Nismo head...

you would think that if NISMO was selling "high-strength connecting rod bolts" they would sell high-strength connecting rods too. I'm not quite sure I understand the theory on that one. Oh well, maybe stronger rods and pistons are in the works.. who knows.

These heads if they are the same as the ones I have had for some time (casting stamped RZZ) are not bolt on replacements for the stock motor.
The 46cc chamber area lifts the CR to 12.3 / 1, if I am correct they also do not come with valves fitted.
Jason
The 262 deg cam is also not a drop in repacement for these heads as the valve seat is aprox 1.5mm father into the combustion chamber & the range of available cam followers is not big enough to do the lash adjustment if you swap out the valves from your old head.
The camshafts are machined & drilled on all the bearing surfaces but the lobes are raw castings.
To summerise this head & cam package is for serious race engine builders as new pistons will also have to fitted to reduce the CR.
The rod end bolts are part of the S1 Nismo package to be released in japan & are a safty item as the S1 package has raised the rev limit to 7000rpm.
I was privy to see a flow chart of these heads when I attended the 2003 Tokyo auto salon, and while the graph markings were all in Japanese the graph was very impressive with the maximum flow getting close to the 350Z JGTC race motor heads.

Also you would think that Nismo would release all this stuff at the same time. For example If I just had cams put in and thats it. I would be little bothered paying someone to go back into the engine and do this work. Might as well knock all this out while the engine is open. It would be more cost effective. Also does anybody have the specs on a S1 Nismo Engine.
