Hey guys, this is my first post. I tried looking everywhere on this site for a related question before i posted mine but couldn't find anyone who asked so here it goes. I have a 2005 Nissan 350z Touring (I think, because it has the bose system and leather heated seats). Its an auto. I was thinking about buying a 300zx TT engine (there is a place near me that sells them for 1500) and swapping it out with my VQ35DE. Is it possible to do this? Has anyone done it on here before? What would i need and would it be worth it to do so? Thanks and happy new year!

 

build your vq35. much better imo

 

There is another website called hybrid Z dot something. They may have someone thats done the swap there. I would not build your motor. It could blow as well and it's very expensive. I would like to see your swap. You can also look at the VQ30DET as another swap option. Plus you can get a motor that is OBDII.

 

That would be stupid. Why on earth would you remove a perfectly good motor for a 20yr old unknown mileage one.

 

You could boost and partially build yours for what t would cost to do said swap ...the better swap would be a ls series
