shows some good gains. interesting numbers and i don't doubt the chance whether numbers are elevated for a mag to promote the "brand" in contrast to postings on the forums, most everyone says intake and exhaust give similar results, albeit some have dyno numbers to back up as well.

Regardless of dyno, i haven't seen a DE with wtq of 260.

I have a hard time believing a stillen intake is going to give me more hp than other brands. A jwt popcharger is 100$ I found an aem cai for $175 the stillen ones are 220$ up.

I don't think it's crazy exaggerated. With that said, I think it definitely looks more like an ad than an unbiased review.
Also - remember that it's not about the final numbers when dyno-ing a car due to the vast differences between each dyno. It's about the difference between the final and initial numbers. The baseline numbers look a little high, too.

I read the same article.
Its crap.
Being in a industry that interacts with the magazine industry, all the profit
comes from advertising. The actual sale of the magazine is insignificant.
So,its common sense to pander to a advertiser. They pay the bills even if
what is being advertised is "stretching the truth".All the stuff in this
article is Stillen.
Hmm?
The gains shown are just not realistic.
In addition, the article goes on to predicting 300whp with bolt ons.
Dream on...

Mine does.
Actually, it's about 270 on a nice cold day.
I also have a Stillen intake and TDE. The fitments are fine - I did however replace the crappy (leaky) u-bolt clamps with some nice stainless lap bands on the exhaust.

yea i'm encouraged by those numbers. nearly 250 whp stock for the baseline was a high number and it was mentioned spark plugs were replaced so it may be legit and on the high end for a stock de motor running in good shape. still i think without a tune and just those mods 270 is entirely possible, but not probable.

Yeah who knows what I'll see. I've been looking into the kinetix velocity manifold (not expecting low end torque gains), and possibly headers in the future. I figured with both and a re-tune again it'd hit 260tq, but that's just speculation.
I definitely agree that cams/head work are needed to really clear that number by a long shot
