I have been keeping my eye on my temperature gauge lately because of the accident I was in, and it is constantly staying at 1/3 the way up like it always has, so that is good. However, today the gauge went up to about halfway after a ten minute drive, then went back down. is this normal, or should I be worried?

 

Perhaps it went up, the thermostat opened, and then it stabilized at its normal temp? I've never really watched mine that closely.

 

check your coolant level? air pockets?
