Default Vortech install please help!

I am trying to install my cooler piping and having a bit of a issue... In the instructions for the cooler install it states, "Connect the upper cooler bracket to two of the factory screws that secure the front bumper." I only had one screw/bolt on top and the bottom was a plastic clip that I replaced with a hex bolt, washers and lock nut.. Same with the passenger side it has a clip rather than a bolt... ( I have a 2006 Infiniti G35 coupe and it is the rev-up version. ) I researched online and hit up forums to insure I had the correct location an it appears that I am correct. I see where others mainly 03-04's who have the two bolts, but mine is the exact location and has a clip in the lower hole. Everything looks even and the way it should until I go to install the driver and passenger piping on either side of the cooler. Attached are some pictures for reference.

I have researched more online and someone suggested I may have received a 350z kit. I cross referenced and they both have the same part # of 4NZ218-120L so I do not believe that to be the case. It seems as if the cooler was to be shifted roughly 2 to 2-1/2" towards the passenger side the pipes would align better, but this just does not seem feasible as there is not another mounting option for the bracket and it would put the drivers side bypass pipe in a position it would hit the fender-well lining.

I took the bracket off this morning to test this theory and again there is no other mounting option and it is impossible. Even with the couplers on with no clamps and everything loose I still have the same issue same goes for no couplers at all. Even when using 3" long couplers in place of the 2" the instructions suggest will not help. I took a picture of the drivers side bumper bracket and it shows the clip I am referring to and it is/was the same configuration on the passenger side where the bracket was installed.

Juts mount the intercooler without the upper cooler bracket...A lot of us are mounting our intercooler without it because of having aftermarket intercoolers...

Ask Vortech?
But you could always make your own bracket using a long flat strip of metal with a 90* bend at the end so you can use the two large inline bolts rather than a plastic clip
As for the pipes I ended up buying black silicone couplers as they look nicer and you can make them larger so you have more room to play with when fitting.

I called Vortech and left a voicemail and also emailed them as well, so I am just waiting for a reply there. I actually also purchased all new black silicone couplers as blue is not in my theme and like you stated it does look better.

I removed the bracket and got things to line up a lot better and it does look like I will have to modify the bracket or fab my own. Thanks guys!
