Default electronic locking rear differential?

i was just wondering if anyone has done or thought of this, been looking around and haven't found anything and just wanna know if it would work. The reason i bring this up is my dad has a PRO4X Frontier back home and it came from the factory with one, just hit the button on the inside and BOOM! fully locked rear end. this would be great for a DD/weekend drifter. i understand that having a LSD of some sort would be better for a all around track car but i used to have a welded diff on my 240 and it was great for drifting(but that all comes down to prefrence). and i mean if your starting out with a base model(open diff) and all you want to do is drift every once and a while it could be a pretty cool idea

Anyways thoughts? I know im prolly gonna get raged on for something tho.

besides the fact it will cost you 5 times more to do this then to simply get a 1.5 way and get exactly what you need? they arnt cheap, neither are the controllers, neither will all the parts to make it work that need to be custom fabbed. you should understand why you are going to get flamed rather then "lolz i know already gona get *** raped"

They have had them for years now. I picked up on for a ford 8.8 rear end I am going to put in my corolla. I bought it used for a bout 400. I think they are 850 new. Or they was 4 years ago.
