Help on a strong build
I recently got a daily driver car. I have my 06 Grand Touring (automatic)
aside. I want to start taking this car out to the track and drag strips. I am new to builds. I have searched google but did not know exactly what to look for.
My question is, what is needed for a strong engine build?
Nothing was done to the car yet.
Like loading the torque converter for launches, etc. I know it's bad for the car but I was told that is how people launch in automatics on drags.
What parts exactly make the engine stronger?
I don't know if forged pistons and new rod is the way to go for a non F/I car.

I didn't ask what you felt about the convertible. I recently ordered the hardtop from smoothline to replace it as maintenance on the convertible rotors was crap.
Also going to have a roll cage when I get into more serious driving.
Definitely not trying to create a thread with a debate whether or not manuals are better then autos. I couldn't care less either. It's all about preference.
