single clutch vs dual clutch
Greetings Z's enthusiasts.
Recently i bought a lightweight clutch and flywheel but it was a single clutch and the car has a dual clutch and my mechanic said I got the wrong part but I did my research and found out that the single one is comparable as well with the only discomfort of a bit of noise at low rpms. Can anybody shade any light over this subject? Should I go with the dual clutch or just keep the one I already have.
Thank you all in advance for your feedback...

As long as it's for a correct car it should 'work'.
Typically a twin disc will hold more torque before slipping. If it had a twin disc in it you may want to compare torque ratings. Usually a twin disc is added when the car had been modified to have significant power gains like adding turbo/superchargers/nitrous etc.
Good luck!

yer as str8dum1 said, dont mix up single and dual mass flywheels with single plate a twin plate clutches and single and dual clutch gearbox setups
3 different things
stock is a dual mass flywheel with a single plate clutch
all aftermarket flywheels that i know of are single mass (much lighter)
after market clutch range from single to quad plate
as for single and dual clutch, we only have single clutch gearboxes, dual clutch is the type of thing u see in a ferrari flappy paddle
