Flywheel noise only when clutch is depressed all the way in
Hello folks,
I have a 06 6MT Z and had my JWT clutch and flywheel installed about 2000 miles ago at Hill's garage.
The car has been fine and I've been babied the car trying to break it in..
and then today the flywheel/clutch started making grinding noise when the clutch is depressed all the way in and when I try to put the trans into a gear from neutral (so I guess when the synchro is engaged?). The noise then slowly disappears as I put the gear back in neutral (clutch engaged) and it comes back when I try to put the gear back in.
The noise doesn't occur until I go past about 90% of the clutch pedal depression point. It only happens when I depress the clutch all the way in, and when I try to put it in any gear. It feels fine when I put it in gear with clutch about 85% depressed.
I am guessing maybe it's a faulty bearing or something? I haven't called Hill's garage yet. Does anyone know why this happens? Is it a serious problem?
Any input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
