Default self healing transmission?

Have you guys ever heard or experience grinding on gears one week and the next the grinding stopped? The exactly what happen to me for 2 weeks my car was grinding on second gears 3rd and 4th and then I was driving my car to take to get the transmission swapped there was no grinding..I have now driven it for 1 week without grinding and shifts like a charm. I'm wondering what this equates too. .and baffled any input would be appreciated

Idk it when mine started before I swapped tranny I just changed to royal purple because redline wasn't immediately available and it solved it for a year. Only reason I swapped was because I built my block and didn't want to worry about it
