Default TransGo Shift Kit

I am interested in the install of a shift kit on my automatic 2004 nissan 350z and have come across the transgo shift kit. I have researched and found the DIY install for this kit as well!
My concern is my 2004 350z just hit 112,000 miles. I have not owned the 350z for long to tell how regularly the transmission fluid has been changed, but i do know that currently the fluid appears to be new and the transmission has no issues. Would there be a concern to installing this kit on my AT transmission.

As far as the install of this kit, i have reviewed the DIY on this sight and understand its a not a simple install, but if the DIY is followed correctly is there any major problems or issues that can occur from this install?

I appreciate any responses or tips on this transgo shift kit
Thanks
Caleb

This job is one of those that must be done perfectly on the first attempt. Else your transmission will shift weird.

Transgo has been on my car for over 25k miles now and I have done some Track/Autox events too. Still working just as good as new. Zero issues faced after the install.

Throw in an oil cooler while you're at it.

Good luck

install isnt hard, ive done a few to date. on frontiers and titans. im guessing this kit is the same model number.

as far as installs go it is very simple. good luck and be careful.

Seen this transgo shift kit on several threads. Don't mind my ignorance to it as I have a 6MT but what exactly does the kit do? Just interested in knowing.

Just curious who do you plan on doing the install for you? Can't think of any places in my area that would for a reasonable price.

Going through a friends mechanic that has installed these before but still stopping at a performance transmission shop just to compare prices

Faster shift points, and handles more power for FI.

I can tell you that it is definitely a worthwhile mod. Shifts are much crisper. Mine barks the tires in 3 gears.

For sure! Heard nothing but positive reviews on the kit! Did you do the install yourself?
