Default Any Code experts?

I have cleared a 1-7-5 twice now,
I'm hoping my lowering the boost when my belt gets here will cure this. Read about the 1-7-4 where is the list?

I found this cool website that will allow you to enter the code:

http://www.actron.com/code_lookup/index.php

P0175 = System too rich (bank 2)

P0174 = System too lean (bank 2)

Awesome, better rich than lean!
Big sigh of relief.

Turn the engine to run where the dash lights come on.
Count 3 seconds (you need a watch it is exact.)
after 3 seconds press the accelarator to the floor then release 5 times in 5 seconds
wait 7 seconds
push and fold the acclerator to the floor for 10 seconds until the CEL starts flashing.

It will then blink 10 times (trust me w/o a watch it won't work)
Count the blinks, after 10 count the series of 3.

So in my case it goes like this
3 seconds on
5 seconds push, repeat push
7 seconds wait
10 seconds push hold
10 blinks pause
1 blink
7 blinks
5 blinks
then the blink cycle loops again starting at ten

To clear press and hols the accelerator for a full 10 seconds then release
then turn key off then restart, CEL is gone

Peas!

I use the Nissan programming built in found on ther CD there are all kinds os thricks in there like resettting the MAF andf TB PS etc

Oh I forgot, Zzzya thanks man!

I am damn impressed that my stock fuel system is keeping a 10 pound FI setup rich. I have larger injectors and am off boost until
I get a new belt, then I am sure I can resolve this but I was thinking worst case scenario i t was a lean bank like 174 was. Bookmarked the link! Very good day today!

Just make sure you don't miscount because 173 174 are lean conditions i think. good luck.

could it be that you're too rich due to off being FI?

i believe the system is setup so that it thinks FI will be there all the time, so its preventative measure is to add more fuel.

Yes this is exactly why Cheston thanks. I am grandma driving like you wouldn't believe completely off boost until I get my new belt to drop me from 10 pounds to 9 like it is flashed for.

I haven't went WOT or above 3k rpm's since hitting over 800C on my EGT with EJ haha we made a WOT run at 10 pounds several times and when I saw the warning light I decided to chill.

I am very confident that when I get to 9lbs and drive it like I normally would an FI car it will go away and I have ZERO concern about this light now that I know what it is.

Even before I wasn't real concerned because the car runs perfect.

When driving it on bost daily I never got the light, not until grandma driving. It hasn't come back in two days after I cleared it.

Did you Check engine light come on??
Yeah it came on the other day, I counted it and wrote it down then read 174 was lean and got alarmed but never said anything just backed off. Hehe been there man!

It came on again after 2500 rpms all day lone (it's an A5T.)

I counted it and sw 175 again, knowing 174 was LEAN I became MORE concerned, knwing what I know now I am comfortable with what is occuring with my 02's plus I have RT's.

Plugs are fine.

Peas!

It's like a 25 dollar OEM CD that no owner should do w/o.

It has everything you would ever want to know about your car.

Consider it to be the equivelant of about 10 Chilton manuals in CD-ROM format. They are floating around everywhere and it has helped me allot like when reearching after market fuel pumps people were posting schematics from it (I think it was teh215) Kido's to him mang....

I got mine here somehow, forgot where.

I got mine here.

http://search.ebay.com/search/search...an+350z+manual

I think it is the same one 12secz is talking about. If it isn't, please let us know. This is the only manual I could find. The only problem I have with it is the fact that there is no index to the pdf files, just a couple letter title.

Almost as important as the code is the freeze frame data that is stored along with the code. This will tell you the exact parameters occuring when the code was set i.e. LTFT, calculated load value, etc. Unfortunately you need a scan tool to have access to this info. If you are getting a po175 especially after a po174 (both bank 2) I would suspect maybe an O2 sensor going toast or at least getting a little lazy in the cross counts. I wouldnt sweat it too much if it only occuring under light thottle conditions. hope this helps....

Yeah TS has one of those it gives more info too.

I am not running as as rich as some may think it's just these 02
s and the ECU is so smart with learning etc.

Judging by my EGT's and tail pipes and plugs though it's fine, I just need that belt to add the right pulley, it may come in today.

Worse case sceraio is add the pulley and go back to TS and flash at 9 instead of 11 I am 100% sure they would take care of me they always have.

After I get the final 9 lb readings on my boost guage and feel comfortable I will do some more Dyno pulls at Marco's on a Dyno Jet and post my A/F numbers. Thanks everyone.

That's a good observation, but he didn't get the 174, he just read the other thread of a guy who tripped a 174 and a 274. With his FI system and the upgrades to his fuel system, he is bound to get this code once or twice until he's done building the system and it's tuned right. Might need to change the plugs a little early but that is true of most FI cars.
