New Clutch
What should I get? I own a 2004 and need to replace the clutch and flywheel. I want to start taking the car to track days, but I also want to be able to street drive it without having issues with engaging in first and second gear. What are my options?

Search and you'll find multiple threads on this topic. Bottom line, replacing the OEM flywheel and clutch with a lighter aftermarket unit will not make a significant performance jump. Yes, the VQ will rev faster, but needs a certain amount of rotating mass for top end power. If I were you, I'd try pricing out a Nissan Value added clutch package (new clutch disc, pressure plate and throwout bearing) and save some money. Spend it on driving lessons to learn how to heel/toe and rev match more accurately.
I'd agree with the post above.
Only exception would be if you plan on adding a lot of horsepower to your Z...then sure...an upgraded clutch...but otherwise no way...just stick to oem.
Now...if you want to make the new oem clutch work smoother than oem...ironically...don't focus on the clutch itself but instead get yourself an RJM adjustable fulcrum point (AFP) clutch bracket. They really work extremely well and transform the car to a much better driving experience.
Just google RJM Performance clutch. Great stuff.
Hope this helps,
