350z Spark Plug Tube Seals
Hey guys I am new to the forums and have a few questions. I am going to change my valve cover gasket and also want to change the spark plug tube seals. I have the gasket already but for the tube seals I was wondering if anyone has used the Fel-Pro ES72481 Seals and if they fit? IT\t says theyre compatible with my 2004 350z but want to make sure if anyone has used them on their vq engine! If anyone could help me that would be great thanks!

Quick answer: No, it will not fit.
As far as I'm concerned, you got 3 options:
1. New OEM valve covers

2. R&D valve seals kit

(you can find DIY here on the site)
3. Altima valve covers (require some mods).

If it was up me, I would go with the option #1, since I don't feel comfortable with modifying and fitting valve covers from the other model and also I had bad experience with R&D kit:
This is just one cylinder, didn't check the rest.

Thanks Koren I really appreciate the help! I might just end up going the the R&D kit and see how it goes from there! what kind of problems did you have with it?

I installed the R&D kit - all good, just take your time, do it PROPERLY and use plenty of high quality RTV silicone. I also recommend doing an oil change afterwards just in case any little bits of plastic or rtv drop into the engine.

RobPhobos, I did it in my friend's fully equipped garage, it took me 3 days - was doing everything very patiently and properly was waiting for the silicone to dry before starting the engine. Everything was done according to their youtube video.
May be it was me that did something wrong, but I'm not a newbie in this, so it is either too hard to do correctly or does not work properly. Either way is not good for your car, so my recommendation - get a new valve covers.
