Default Back to stock clutch

So I had the JWT stage 2 clutch when I bought my 03 350z and I absolutely loved it, but the clutch went out and now I'm going back to factory replacment clutch because of budget, how shitty is the stock clutch on these cars? Im gonna miss my stage 2

The factory clutch was twice the price as the JWT when mine went out, Thats why I chose it. Performance and cheaper, Win Win!

Well the good thing about the JWT flywheel is you can replace the surface on it so in theory it should last forever. And the new face is a lot cheaper than a new OEM or aftermarket flywheel.

Yeah the flywheel is getting resurfaced right now and going in the car but with a factory clutch sadly

You should have done some research before pulling the trigger

What other mods are done to the car and what are you using it for?

I have unorthodox racing pulleys, injen cat-back exhaust, K&n intake and just the flywheel now, this is my daily driver, but due to time issue and budget I had no choice but to go with the lightweight flywheel that I already had in storage

Stock clutch is good but I've never seen one for $500.00 and I've been looking for a while.

I have no complaints about the stock clutch on my DE car. Granted, car is stock and pushing no additional HP above stock but it reacts very well, good pedal, heel/toe, double clutch, dropping clutch.... all good. No signs of needing any work at 73k.

I have complaints about my HR car's clutch. Very soft pedal, high engagement, etc. BUT... all related to pedal adjustment, CSC known issue, NOT the clutch assembly itself.

You probably won't HATE it. You might hanker for the feel of the JWT but you'll get over it. The stocker isn't bad. One of the better stock clutches IMO.

Check Concept Z... https://conceptzperformance.com/Cart...e=NIS350&CA=34

Looks like you can source an OEM clutch (cover and disc) with associated parts (slave, pivot pin, etc) for about $500. Of course, that doesn't speak to the DMF that may or may not be able to be re-surfaced. (Dependent on whether you have a shop handy that knows how to handle them.)
