Default Car died on the road

My 350z just shut off the other night as I was driving. It started up about 5 minutes later first try, but the check engine light was on. I haven't had to go anywhere since and I'm a little worried to just in cas further use would mess the car up more. Ive found multiple things online that could be the problem, one of which is highly suspect. It seems that the crankshaft positioning sensor can cause this. I just installed a new clutch and flywheel about three weeks ago and noticed that my CPS was absolutely covered in clutch dust, and my clutch, and flywheel was in possibly the worst condition I have ever seen any of these components in. I'm sort of hoping my problem is just an overheated, overly dirty, worn out CPS. I have only put about 3000 miles on my '03, and it was my first manual car so I had no idea that my clutch was worn due to pedal feel until it started slipping pretty badly. I had to drive it slipping for about 450 miles due to money and time issues. The new clutch and flywheel have been running wonderfully for the past three weeks with the old CPS. Does anyone know if this is the problem or have any experience with a bad CPS?

check the battery connections. I had my car die when i would come to a stop cause of loose connections.

Both the crank and camshaft position sensors can cause this, and in the Zs these sensors are notorious for failing.

My money would be on the sensors failing, a quick OBD2 check would confirm this issue.

Luckly the sensors are easy to replace, but not what I would call cheap.
