Timing Chain Water Pump
Hi I did the timing on my 2008 350z about four months ago and just got around to registering the car to drive it.
Now I was going over some things and started to think about the timing chain where it goes around the water pump.
I can't remember if I double checked that it was in the groove for the water pump.
My question is if it was not aligned correctly with the water pump would I get some kind of noise from the timing chain??
Basically I am probobly just worrying about nothing.
The car starts and runs fine. My car DOES produce heat and I have no overheating issue or weird noises at idle. I have not ran the car for more than 10 minutes or drove it.
Am I fine?
Wouldn't the car not have heat if the water pump wasn't circulating coolant?
I am hesitant on going for a long drive without being 100% certain that I aligned the timing chain and water pump correctly.
Is there any way to check and make sure my coolant is circulating (water pump operating) properly? Without ripping the timing cover off again that is lol.
