Yea theres plenty of LEGITIMATE shop that will do smog. Check yelp.

Interesting thing happened yesterday.... Went for smog on one of my non-Zs. The shop plugged in, crawled around car, NO sniffer.

Curious, I asked why.

"Later model, just did OBD scan and visual...you're all good".

Hmmmm.... When I did my Nismo and '03 (just one year older than my Volvo being tested), they shoved the sniffer up the pipe so fast, I got empathy pain.

Moral of the story: Gonna tweak my brick cuz everyone knows that nobody hotrods Volvos!

Easy way to pass visual - cut the heat shields off stock cat, weld to test pipe.

 

Dude i would take a volvo wagon, ls3 swap it with nasty cam....tub out the rear....hhhhhhhnnnnnnggggg (the orgasm version of hhheeeeeeellllllllpppppppppppp)
