Default Anything else I should do while I change my valve covers?

I dont know engines real well. Im gonna be replacing my passenger side valve cover this weekend and im wondering if there's anything else I could service while im in there. Im sure there will be a ton of oil chunks that I could clean up... What's the proper way to do it, and what else can be done?
