Default Will a alternator from a HR bolt up to a DE

I'm in need of possible alternator depending on how my system does when I finish my electronics/audio install. I see in 07+ G's at least came with 150 amp alternators instead of the 105-110 03-06's got. So a little better alternator without the price. I don't have much experience with the differences in the front on the HR motor vs the DE. Will the 07-08 alternators bolt up to the 03-05's

I believe the pulley design is different, as the DE uses individual belts, versus HR one solid belt.

So I could just use old DE pulley on the new HR alternator.

Maybe. Why not see if NAPA or some other large parts store has both in stock, so you can see them side-by-side. That's what I did when I was looking for a larger alternator for my BMW 635.

Sounds like I will have too. I feel guilty doing stuff like that because internet prices r gonna be half the price of Napa or Advance and have no intention of buying one locally. If it will work it's a perfect upgrade for DE motors since they are 40-50 amps higher rated

Not necessarily. The alt I got for my BMW was cheapest at NAPA ($98), and so was the one we just had to buy for my wife's Acura TL-S (~$150), and they have the best warranty, too. Advance was almost double the price, and they've got a bullsh!t 90-day warranty.
