Ive been having a hell of a time trying to break the bolt loose on the crank pulley and just want to make sure its not reverse threaded before i try a bigger impact wrench?

Do some searching...... There are a couple thread in which guys put a breaker bar on and use the starter to break it loose. Honestly ...I don't rem if it's reversed threaded or not.

Good luck man

ive read just about every thread i can find on it but no one mentions if its reverse threaded but a lot of guys i work with told me crank pulleys are reverse threaded alot. And seems the started method is the easiest way to remove the bolt but unfortunately for me the engine isnt in the car. Thank you though

prob the most ignorant sugg ever but when taking pulley off. in car....a common method is the zip tie pulley to structural member of car.

Not sure if you can do something similar with it out of the car???

good luck

The engine is on a stand. But i finally got the bolt out using a torch and a 850 ft-lb torque wrench. What a pain in the ***. But i did manage to do this to the pulley earlier when i tried a breaker bar. Does anyone think itll cause any problems?

depends if it bent into the belt path or not. I'd file it down and see.

If not, stock crank pulleys can be had for cheap. I should have one I could sell ya.

you do not want a lightweight pulley on the crank..will lead to future problems.
