Default Hard starting

i have a 06 Base and i have a hard time starting it and sometimes it won't even start, brought it to a mechanic they said it's the cam sensors replace driver and passenger side still didn't fix it, went onto changing the crank sensors as well, and still didn't fix it, i feel like it's fuel issues like it cannot get fuel pressure, if i get the car to start and turn it off it will start up right away, i was told fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator is built into pump and the fuel damper hardly goes out, so what could it be, would i need a new fuel pump

What codes are showing up? There's little point in just guessing.

Are you checking for codes held in memory for both the ECM and BCM? What type of reader are you using?

Surprised there were no codes at all. I dislike guessing, but from the symptoms you describe, my bet is insufficient fuel pressure at startup.

Wouldn't be the first time a pump has gone out on a Z..

Have the mechanic pressure test your injectors, check your A/F ratio.

That will be a lot quicker and a LOT cheaper than buying all of auto zones back stock chasing down a mystery in the fuel system.

Also check battery connection and voltage.
