Clutch/Flywheel Replacement Advice
So I've looked through the previous posts using search but not satisfied. So I'm posting what is probably a very common question.
mechanic says release bearing needs to be replaced. Recommends replacing clutch/flywheel. I have 130k on the car. I am down to do this. He quotes me 8 hours labor which includes main seal too. $100 labor rate. So I only have 1300 atm. Going with Luk DMFW and Exedy nsk1000 kit. 8 hours sounds too long. What has been your experiences? Anyone know about the quality of the Luk flywheel? Should I do the slave etc too? How much more should I accept in labor for that? Any advice, thanks? FYI I'm in northern Virginia Near Washington DC
