Throttle is at 3000 rpm when I am going at 75-80 on the highway
I Have had an issue the last couple of months that started with my 2005 350Z going into limp mode. That problem was supposedly fixed and my mechanic said that he felt the transmission was slipping. He doesn't do trannies so I brought to a specialist. The tranny specialist said he couldn't find anything wrong and then the car started to run hot. Changed the thermostat, new oil and it still runs slightly hot. Ant the throttle issue is still running what I think is high. Broke down and brought it to the Nissan dealer and they said the heat issue is a bad radiator. Changed it, then one of the two fans was working intermittently. Changed both of them and that has solved the heat issue. Of course the mechanic then pointed out that the high pitched noise I am hearing is from a left real wheel bearing that is locked up. They wanted 1150 to fix and my best friend owns a chain of tire stores did it for $232.69. The car runs fine, NO SLIP but it still seems to be running high on the RPM scale. Any thoughts? Wiring Harness? Contacts?
