Default 350z buyer

Ok so previously i asked if i should buy a z for 5k without saying anything else besides saying its 130k miles. I wanted to find out if that is even a good idea just going off miles and price. This is the link to the car though for added details. https://longisland.craigslist.org/cto/d/03-350z/6300297915.html

Looks pretty good. Take it for a test drive to see how it drives. Check for leaks. Hopefully he can provide proof that he replaced those parts.. I'd ask 4500.

Would be smart not to **** of senior members, there was no reason to start a new thread when you could have just added to the original

There is also no reason to get all upset because a new user is working out the kinks of a forum he just joined. I mean, "[don't] **** off senior members?" What is this, the Mafia?

To the OP: I too bought a Z33 with approximately 130K on it. I paid for my negligence. Motor blew in under 500 miles. I bought as-is, no recourse whatsoever.

Be VERY scrutinizing. pull that dipstick. does the oil look like it has an odd sheen or a milky look to it? Could be metal shavings or coolant in the oil pan, respectively, suggesting major damage.

Leaks are obvious signs, fluid USAGE is a less obvious one. Is it losing coolant despite the lack of a leak? Headgasket issue probably. Is the PSF low? Perhaps the beginnings of a leak that can't be seen because a boot is currently hiding it. Just a few examples.

I'm biased... I love my car, and do not regret doing a motor swap... but I want FUTURE Z owners to practically look for reasons NOT to buy their Z33 before they pull the trigger on one. Remember, it's a business transaction, not a charity auction. You are entitled to protect yourself from financial ruin.
