Default heating and cooling 04 350z touring

so i had a crack in my radiator, i replaced it with a mishimoto rad and hoses, refilled with antifreeze and used lisle spill free funnel to get the air out of the system. i didnt have any heat, the thermostat wasnt opening ( cooling fans were running constantly). I replaced the thermostat and unplugged the fans. the thermostat now opens but still, no heat. and now the car is overheating as well (possibly due to fans being unplugged ). ive been told that my heater core may be clogged and causing no heat and overheating. but the car had heat before i replaced the radiator.. any suggestions or help would be appreciated

You need to bleed the system, it's a PITA.
