Motor swap first start up
Recently swapped my 350z hr motor is there anything else is should do before starting it up. I’m not to entirely sure how long the motor sat for but I was told i should spray some fogging oil into the cylinders before start up as well as removing the fuel pump relay so it cranks and builds up pressure.
If it was me I would buy inexpensive conventional motor oil ... like a 10-50wt that the oil pump will efficiently be able to pull from the oil pan and circulate for the first few start-ups and a little idle time. I like a thicker oil bc it'll hang on to metal surfaces better than a thinner oil and will hold on to any contaminates it picks up. Run this only for 10min-15min of idle over a few start ups and then drain it and put a higher quality oil in.
You can remove the fuel pump fuel and it may be wise to disconnect the coil connectors too.
did you flush & refill the coolant systems?
new spark plugs?

Removing the spark plugs before trying to prime the motor will help it build pressure.
The recommended way to prime an engin like this, after sitting for a while, is to use a pressurized oil supply/transfer tank you can inject oil into the oil pressure sending unit location while turning the motor over by hand to prime the oil system. Then the engin has oil to everything it normally would on a cold start.
