As the title suggests ive been having problems with my cd009 gearbox (out of an 05 G35) which I threw in after my cd008 gearbox took a dump. For the past 15k the gearbox has been great but very recently sometimes 5th gear pops out on decel and reverse makes a grinding noise when letting out the clutch first thing in the morning. Any ideas what this could be. Ive already changed the gear oil from 15k mile mt-90 to mt-85 but that didnt solve the issue.

 

Northeast in the winter? I'd say just shift carefully and deliberately until the trans warms up a bit.

 

that would be correct advice if I was having trouble getting into gears during shifts; however, This isn't happening during the shift these things are happening AFTER I shift as the clutch is being let out. I did take a video of whats been happening, the reversing noise is particularly concerning.
